This strategy is as simple as it gets. BTF means Back The Favourite. In practical terms, that involves finding the team with the shortest odds to win each game and backing that team. It’s the simplest strategy around, and requires zero knowledge of either team or indeed about the sport. That’s important for me, as a total novice to the NFL.

Why apply BTF to the NFL?

No tied games – draws are the big problem with applying BTF to many soccer leagues.
